Terms of Use & Code of Conduct

1. Platform Overview

NotYetSolved.com is a volunteer public-research and case-awareness platform operated by Statecraft Examiners, LLC. It does not provide private investigation services, legal services, law-enforcement services, emergency services, or paid case paid case work.

By creating an account, you agree to use the platform for lawful open-source research purposes only, in accordance with this Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.

2. Volunteer Status

All NotYetSolved users, researchers, contributors, and chapter members are volunteers. You are not an employee, contractor, representative, private investigator, researcher, or authorized researcher of NotYetSolved, Statecraft Examiners, law enforcement, any victim's family, or any attorney.

3. Permitted Use

You may use this platform to:

• ✓Conduct open-source research using publicly available information
• ✓Review public records, court documents, and news archives
• ✓Organize public-source files, timelines, and case documentation
• ✓Submit FOIA requests to government agencies
• ✓Submit public information and research notes
• ✓Provide information to law enforcement through proper channels

4. Code of Conduct — Prohibited Conduct

Members may not:

1. 1.Accept payment, gifts, rewards, tips, reimbursement, or anything of value for research activity.
2. 2.Offer paid research or case-work services through NotYetSolved.
3. 3.Solicit compensation from families, advocates, attorneys, agencies, or other users.
4. 4.Contact witnesses, suspects, victims' families, law enforcement, employers, schools, agencies, or private individuals about a case without written authorization.
5. 5.Represent themselves as private researchers, law enforcement, representatives of NotYetSolved, or representatives of a family.
6. 6.Conduct surveillance, pretexting, trespassing, impersonation, harassment, doxing, or unauthorized database searches.
7. 7.Publish accusations against private individuals.
8. 8.Interfere with active law-enforcement cases, court cases, or law-enforcement activity.
9. 9.Use restricted, stolen, hacked, confidential, or unlawfully obtained information.
10. 10.Share restricted case material outside the platform.

5. Payment and Subscription

Membership or subscription fees provide access to platform tools, case organization features, research workspaces, and community features. Fees do not compensate any volunteer researcher for case research and do not create a private-research relationship.

6. Research Chapters

NotYetSolved research chapters are volunteer groups that organize public information, build timelines, review public records, preserve source links, and discuss unresolved public-interest cases in a structured and ethical way. Chapter members are volunteers. No chapter member may accept payment, rewards, gifts, tips, reimbursement, or anything of value for research activity connected to NotYetSolved.

7. Account Termination

Statecraft Examiners, LLC reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.

8. Disclaimer

NotYetSolved.com is not affiliated with any law enforcement agency. Research conducted on this platform is for informational and public-interest purposes only. Statecraft Examiners, LLC makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of case information. Any urgent public-safety concern should be reported directly to law enforcement or emergency services.
